The Eve of Disaster EP
Recorded between London and Los Angeles, the Eve of Disaster EP is British-American songwriter Merrick Winter’s long awaited debut, described by NOTION as “a collaboration of honoured expertise”, toeing the line between contemporary indie-folk, and the modern American songbook.
Navigating themes of co-dependancy, unrequited love, and hometown tragedy with “gut-wrenching incisiveness”, the singles “Try Me” and “Stalemate” were tracked live to tape by Grammy-winning producer Matt Zara. The project has received acclaim in The Line of Best Fit as “deft, distinctly 21st Century folk songwriting”, and was mastered at Abbey Road Studios.
